Nicolet students excelled at the 2025 AATG State German Pronunciation contest 👏Held last weekend at Marquette University, the contest required students to demonstrate both interpersonal and presentational skills. Nicolet had the top showing in the state, bringing home almost 50% of the medals earned at the high school level.

Summer Nicolet Strength & Conditioning 💪
Strength Training and Conditioning is a course that will focus on developing muscular strength, endurance and overall athletic ability. The major focus will be strength training. A specific program will be followed in order to make gains in a variety of core areas. On non-lifting days, there will be an emphasis on speed and agility to help develop faster acceleration, top speed, agility and jumping abilities. This course is designed for students who have a desire to work hard on a daily basis to improve their muscular strength and agility.

Nicolet French students participated in the State French Pronunciation Competition. The students were judged on categories including poetry, prose and music, receiving 13 gold medals and 2 silver medals 🎉

During first semester Nicolet students in the US Presidential Elections course completed a documentary for their final exam. Students could choose to enter their documentary to the National CSPAN StudentCam competition in January. Seniors Caitlin Reindl, Xander Schmelzling, and Brody Weiss entered their work and won third place for their documentary 'Shots Fired- Your Message to the President'
Out of 1700 documentaries, theirs stood out due to a clear message, compelling interviews, and multiple perspectives. The students were honored last week at a small ceremony with many elected officials who spoke highly of their hard work and dedication to the process.

The Nicolet German students competed in the 33rd annual UW-Madison German Day Competition. The team was buoyed by award-winning performances by the German 4-5 Skit and Alex Friedel’s rendition of Goethe’s Gefunden.
Nicolet is one of two schools in the state to have participated in each of the 33 competitions.

Nicolet Ceramics students took art on the road as they delivered their monsters to their 2nd grade Parkway clients. The 2nd graders used the elements and principles of art to design their monsters with the high schoolers using their 3D clay handbuilding skills to bring the monsters to life. Nicolet students delivered their creations during each of the 2nd grade classes art class to meet their clients & deliver the finished product. There were 119 monsters created and delivered by 94 Nicolet students, making this huge collaboration that will hopefully continue for years to come 👾
