When health and safety allow, Nicolet will move into a model where all students are able to spend their time in the school building. While this model reflects a “traditional learning environment,” the administration will continue to place a strong emphasis on enhanced cleaning protocols, adjustments on how students enter and exit buildings, management of lunch services, and more. Additionally, students and families will still be able to continue learning in a remote setting based on their comfort level.
Administrators will work closely with the North Shore Health Department to monitor public health statistics and develop indicators for the transition between phases. These metrics may include, but are not limited to:
- The seven day rolling average of percentage of positive cases in our community;
- The number of positive COVID-19 cases in area districts with blended and face to face models;
- Adequate staffing; and
- The number of positive cases for students and staff.
We understand that there are still many details that you have questions and concerns about. Please know we are committed to ensuring all students have access to a high-quality educational experience while doing our best to keep our staff, students and families physically healthy. Your feedback is valued and we welcome questions submitted through our FAQ submission form below.
